Biography

Assistant Commissioner for Lodge and Pay Enforcement Jill joined the ATO in 2008 via the Graduate Programme after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2007. Jill has held a number of roles focused on the design and implementation of new measures, including the Minerals Resource Rent Tax and extended Petroleum Resource Rent Tax from 2010 to 2014. Jill joined Service Delivery as law lead for Single Touch Payroll in 2015, and acted in the Assistant Commissioner, Operational Policy, Assurance and Law role during 2017 and 2018. In 2020 Jill became the Assistant Commissioner of Product Strategy & Management in Client Account Services (CAS), where she played a pivotal role in the administration of the Early Release of Super stimulus measure. Soon after she transitioned into Lodge and Pay and is currently the Assistant Commissioner for Lodge and Pay Enforcement. Her branch focuses on the timely collection of Commissioner-raised liabilities, treatments for high risk debts, as well as complex insolvencies.
