Biography

Strategic Adviser to Australian Government on eInvoicing which is part of Australia’s Digital Business Plan. She has been a board member on Government boards and is currently serving on the boards of Energy Queensland and Multicap. Prior to taking up the advisory role with eInvoicing, Karen has been involved in the initiative for a number of years representing the software industry. Her previous global experiences in multinational corporations as Chief Information Officer and Chief Productivity Officer has been highly relevant to an economy-wide change management effort in encouraging small and large businesses to adopt eInvoicing.

Biography

National Credit Manager, Australia Post Carole McTavish has worked in Credit Management for over 30 years across a variety of industries both in Australia and the UK. She’s currently the National Credit Manager for Australia Post where she leads a team of 50 who manage approx. 100,000 customers and credit sales of $6b. Before joining Australia Post in 2018, Carole held Credit Management roles at Toll, Orica, Elders, Pacific Brands, Sara Lee and Spotless Catering. Carole is passionate about the legal aspects of credit management and loves helping others understand it. She holds a Diploma of Credit Management from Swinburne and a Bachelor of Business (Law) from Monash. Carole has been an active member of the AICM since 1996, a CCE since 2001 and was honoured to be made a fellow in 2023.
